Copy a test
After the first test of a page, a new test is often planned to verify that the errors found have been corrected.
You can copy an existing test for this purpose. All settings, samples and issues found are duplicated and you can now go through and update the existing test results and issues.
Create a copy
The button for copying projects can be found in the project settings.
When creating a copy, you will be asked for a new name for the copy. At this point, you must enter a name other than the name of the current test.
Once your test has been copied, you will be redirected there and can make adjustments directly.
On the overview page of the test you will see a note and a link to the original test.
Frequently asked questions
I don't see a button to copy the test
You can only copy tests if you have the authorisation to create new tests in your organisation.
I would like to test a different sample in the retest
The test copy is independent of the original test. You can therefore delete and edit samples as usual.
Please note that any issues are deleted when deleting samples if they are not assigned to another sample. If the same problems exist on another page, you may need to update the issues beforehand.
I would like to do a retest of a retest
Copies of tests can also be copied again. However, a reference to the original test is lost: only a reference to the test from which the copy was made is retained.
My test is a copy, but the original is not linked
Different editors can be assigned to the original and retest. Users who are not allowed to see the original test are not shown any specific information.
